I guess people have their own agendas. But I figured game collectors should either be nice to either other or something. But I guess when you get your own facebook page, and so many fans, I guess you think you're too good to even say hi to someone. What am I saying?
I've been trying to get my little blog some publicity, and I figured since there was someone else out there doing the same thing, why not?
Apparently not. No comment back, Nothing. So I guess when you get someone to do custom logos for you, and a few hundred likes on Facebook, you quit being nice to the little gamers out there. So hell with it.
On to better news! On Wednesday, I finally scored my N64. Two controllers, four games. All for $15. The woman offered me $40, but I refused it. Came back a few days later, and she took my offer of $15. Awesome. I'll post pictures when I can. And I'll post the new games I received later!
This is where my games were being stored for a few weeks. I had to leave my home, and go back to living with the parents. It's not as bad as people may say, but I'm back to one little teeny tiny room. (Yep. NES, and gaming posters that I had yet to frame or laminate.) But, this allows me to catch up on bills, and maybe sneak in a few opportunities on gaming. Getting a new house and what not comes first, but a distant second, is my hobby.
So what have I done lately? I restarted playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadows. I finally managed to climb up Carmilla's castle, beat the crap out of her, and make it to the land of the dead. And have I not mentioned that this game is a solid 10 when it comes to cutscenes and graphics? Yes, yes. And it's not 59.99 anymore.. (Actually, I paid for the Limited Edition. Such a sucker for Castlevania.)
What have I added to the collection? These two bad boys. Got them at the Flea Market for $20. Tested, both works! So I'm contemplating a Gamecube for purchase, just to mod the crap out of it. That'll probably come soon in time. GameStop has it for $30. I can't beat that.
Now, even though this has only one day (roughly) left on it, if you're a gamer, then it's pure ethics just to support Child's Play. It's a way for gamers to help sick children in hospitals. Last but not least, Rumor has it tomorrow that the 3DS will be going down in price a bit sooner at a certain retailer. I've been wanting one anyways, and since I can get in on the 10 extra free games and the discount? Yeah, I'm definitely in. I'll post pictures and what not when I go tomorrow after work.
It's a lifestyle, a passion. Gaming is more than sitting behind the controller. Of course I'm guessing it just used to be just for entertainment. But think of the music, the art, and the story that follows with it now a days, (considering you don't play Call of Duty like a religion.)
So this blog post is entirely going to feature Final Fantasy. (Cole Upton, if you're reading, this is for you, man. And props to Brent for reading too!)
Okay. Final Fantasy was first made in 1987. It was SquareSoft's last attempt at making a successful game. Their previous games weren't making a lot of sales, so they tried "Final" Fantasy. Needless to say, it was a HIT. Tons of people liked it, and then there has been a lot of remakes and sequels to it. So that's the sum of it. Now, someone told me the other day that they NEVER played a Final Fantasy game. I was like, "WUT?!" So now I get to explain (with pictures!) Why Final Fantasy rocks, and why they should play it. Music, fellas!
Final Fantasy is a game that features turn based battles. This is the first boss you fight in Final Fantasy for the NES. Simplistic, but its unique on its own. But would you expect them to be like this throughout the years? Of course not. It's only gotten better.
This is from Final Fantasy XIII. I haven't finished this one yet (But I'm 50 hours into it.) But it is simply an awesome revamped game that reminds me of how awesome the series is, where's it came from, and what has been made into better.
For anyone that wants to try to get into Final Fantasy without spending any money...there are ways. (Ahem. I can't go into details.) But I will say if you LEGALLY own a cart of Final Fantasy II for SNES, you can download the emulator and ROM of it. That's all I'm saying about that. But if you wanna try a Final Fantasy game and not be overbearing, the best bet is to try Final Fantasy II for SNES (It's actually IV..but its a long story.)
Final fantasy is great in all aspects. Story, Gameplay, depth. Just give it a try. Thats my recommendation.
Now to my gaming stuff. I got Final Fantasy VIII from the PSN store, and no wonders I've beat it eight times already. But I'm trying something different with this game. I'm trying to get all the Ultimate Weapons before the end of disc one (beside one character's, which is impossible until disc 3.) I'm 8 hours into the game (which the point I should be at would only take two hours.) The strategy is to play card games with the NPC's, convert the cards into items needed to refine into the items needed to get the weapons for the characters. I already have one character finished, just quite a few left to go. I'll probably try to put a large dent into the progress tonight.
AND I ALMOST FORGOT.
How much do I like Final Fantasy VIII?
Enough to get an art shop in town to custom make and frame artwork for the game. I love it. So when I mean this is my favorite game of all time, and gaming is art and lifestyle, I mean it.
I finally added two more games to the list. Ys one through three. So soon I plan on adding Ys Seven, Valkyria Chronicles 2, and a few others.
I finally beat inFamous! The ending was really twisted, but it really gears me up toward the sequel. Now to finish up something else....Hm. No idea. Thats it for this week!
At some awesome video games. I have a bunch to cover! As you can see, the blog has been redesigned, and this is much better and I simply love it! The other design was nice, but it didn't match the purpose of the blog. So I might use it for later.
Now. Let me cover something that makes me super happy. Two years ago, I made a post HERE detailing that I bought Illusion of Gaia, cart only for 10 dollars at a flea market. Now, thanks to some digging and finding and buying...I GOT IT.

Now. You think I just completed one set? Please. During Father's day, my dad and I were scourging through my room, which he found the first game boy game I ever purchased, Pokemon Yellow. Sadly, it was not a complete set. Just the cart. Well, once again, I did a bit of searching..digging and what not..and look what I came up with.
Yes, yes. Another perfect set. Box, manual and insert for the game. This is now one of my more treasured games, since it was a first for me on the Game Boy. So this one will sit as a good trophy.
Now, lets cover what I've been playing. Ugh. Last I posted it was Monster Hunter, now I've taken a break from that. Thanks to the Playstation Network, I got to select four games, two for the PSP, two for the PS3. So I have been playing inFamous, and Dead Nation. At this rate, I'll never finish these games up. But thats okay. I'll do it one of these days.
Last thing. I did a favor for JerZy, who was looking for the Aria of Sorrow cart, informed me that she would like for me to help her organize her massive video game collection. And better yet..if she has doubles or triples of her rare complete sets (Which is very likely) I get to keep. I am more excited than a prostitute with a rich man...aha. I kid, I kid. But I am very excited. Two weeks from now, I should be able to get over there and help her organize. As a serious collector who loves his hobby...I'm glad to find someone else that shares the same. But this is a great opportunity!
From what I saw. I wasn't going to purchase a 3DS until the price was much lower..but thanks to the great titles I saw..looks like I'll be purchasing titles before the hardware. I don't have much time for playing too many games anymore, so it won't bother me. It'll go to the backlog (Which did I mention is HUGE?!).
I did find something very nice the other day. I went to the local Packards (Retro video game
store. They kind of suck.) But I did find a complete box and manual of Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Which is my FAVORITE
Castlevania.)
Finding the actual game though is proving to be quite the challenge. I can't get it online because of the lack of trust of sellers. This game happens to be pirated and resold a lot of the time to unsuspected victims. But not me. But now if I can find it...
I'm thinking about redoing the layout to match the actual purpose of this. So there might be a few changes in the next 12 hours. Hell, its my day off. Gotta do something around here.

I popped in my copy of Zelda DX to give it a shot to see how it worked. It's like the thing was frozen in time. Perfect condition!
Now for what I've been playing. I've been playing Monster Hunter Unite on PSP, and a bit of Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii. They're very unique games, and a bit of a time waster mixed in. After about 20-30 hours on each game, but I haven't scratched the surface yet. As soon as
