I love progress, and a chance...

At some awesome video games. I have a bunch to cover! As you can see, the blog has been redesigned, and this is much better and I simply love it! The other design was nice, but it didn't match the purpose of the blog. So I might use it for later.

Now. Let me cover something that makes me super happy. Two years ago, I made a post HERE detailing that I bought Illusion of Gaia, cart only for 10 dollars at a flea market. Now, thanks to some digging and finding and buying...I GOT IT.

I got the manual and case for really cheap, so now

have a complete collection of this. Woot.

Now. You think I just completed one set? Please. During Father's day, my dad and I were scourging through my room, which he found the first game boy game I ever purchased, Pokemon Yellow. Sadly, it was not a complete set. Just the cart. Well, once again, I did a bit of searching..digging and what not..and look what I came up with.

Yes, yes. Another perfect set. Box, manual and insert for the game. This is now one of my more treasured games, since it was a first for me on the Game Boy. So this one will sit as a good trophy.

Now, lets cover what I've been playing. Ugh. Last I posted it was Monster Hunter, now I've taken a break from that. Thanks to the Playstation Network, I got to select four games, two for the PSP, two for the PS3. So I have been playing inFamous, and Dead Nation. At this rate, I'll never finish these games up. But thats okay. I'll do it one of these days.

Last thing. I did a favor for JerZy, who was looking for the Aria of Sorrow cart, informed me that she would like for me to help her organize her massive video game collection. And better yet..if she has doubles or triples of her rare complete sets (Which is very likely) I get to keep. I am more excited than a prostitute with a rich man...aha. I kid, I kid. But I am very excited. Two weeks from now, I should be able to get over there and help her organize. As a serious collector who loves his hobby...I'm glad to find someone else that shares the same. But this is a great opportunity!

E3 was awesome...

From what I saw. I wasn't going to purchase a 3DS until the price was much lower..but thanks to the great titles I saw..looks like I'll be purchasing titles before the hardware. I don't have much time for playing too many games anymore, so it won't bother me. It'll go to the backlog (Which did I mention is HUGE?!).

I did find something very nice the other day. I went to the local Packards (Retro video game

store. They kind of suck.) But I did find a complete box and manual of Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Which is my FAVORITE

Castlevania.)

Finding the actual game though is proving to be quite the challenge. I can't get it online because of the lack of trust of sellers. This game happens to be pirated and resold a lot of the time to unsuspected victims. But not me. But now if I can find it...

I'm thinking about redoing the layout to match the actual purpose of this. So there might be a few changes in the next 12 hours. Hell, its my day off. Gotta do something around here.

One more thing! I checked out a MMORPG via Facebook Ad, it's called Spiral Knights. Made by Sega and Three Rings. It's pretty damn awesome. You guys should check it out. Www.SpiralKnights.com

Yeah. Its been quite a while since I've last posted. But I'm still at my video game antics. I actually have quite the back log to play, more than likely most of them will stay sealed for years to come. But thats okay, my Collector's Edition stuff will stay that way.

at I've been doing. See that little Gameboy Color to the right? Yeah. A co worker of mine had one stored up for years, and decided to sell it. And of course I picked it up for a steal. Wonderful.

I popped in my copy of Zelda DX to give it a shot to see how it worked. It's like the thing was frozen in time. Perfect condition!

Now for what I've been playing. I've been playing Monster Hunter Unite on PSP, and a bit of Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii. They're very unique games, and a bit of a time waster mixed in. After about 20-30 hours on each game, but I haven't scratched the surface yet. As soon as

I finish them, I can finally play Final Fantasy: Dissidia 012 Duodecim. But I have a good feeling it's going to be a while.

Wow. Its been too long.

It certainly has been a while since I've been posting things. But alas, I'll be back to it! I have a lot on my plate, as usual. I've decided I'll be trying to buy a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and uploading things to YouTube.

On an update, I STILL haven't fixed the SNES yet. I'll try to get that fixed sometime soon.

I didn't really have the money..

Instead I end up buying this. Yeah, Lufia II. I love this game. I remember spending some hours playing this game. Maybe I can end up doing it again.

Problem is, I really didn't have the money to do it. I have a bill due on the 10th, and I have other things to purchase. But I've got things pretty well figured out. So I'm fine.

Problem! I still haven't ordered the parts to fix the SNES. Its really bothering me. I think I'll have enough money next week to fix it. Hopefully I will, anyways.
I still haven't started beating those games yet. I need to start doing that soon.

Money, money, money.

You see this thing? This is called my money hog. I got it for free at a flea market on Sunday. No connectors, no controllers, nothing. The thing requires a new back end to it because the AC plugin is broke. Buying a new one is $16. I need to also buy the Security Bit. That's another $6. Guy was selling these things for $35 for the AC adapter, VGA cables, and one controller. I'm already at $22 at LEAST. I was better off buying THAT.

I did pick up a rare find from this guy. He had Illusion of Gaia for $10. $10!!! That was an awesome deal. I'll get to play it whenever I get the stupid thing fixed!!! Yeah, I scored it for free, but still..I was better off just getting a SNES that works unless I can score free controllers too.

And my current problem is I'm wanting to buy my SNES games I never got to buy when I was younger, instead of investing to actually fix the SNES. I gotta think these things through better.

Operation NES: Repaired!!!

So, I received my 72 pin connector and my "Broken" NES today. This was very easy to fix. Time consuming, but easy. The tray wouldn't stay down. Well, a half a turn on each screw on the cartridge tray fixed that problem easy. Then it wasn't reading the games so well. So I replaced the pin connector. Its hard as hell to pull out games, but it works like a charm! Go me for fixing a 24 year old system!!! (Kudos to dad for playing.)

I beat Batman (NES) today. Never could beat it as a child, but now, rawrh, I beat it under an hour. I'm a BEAST. Rawr.

Anyway. I've got a friend that MIGHT be selling me a SNES. If I can get one of dem, I'll be super happy. I love SNES. I sold mine years ago to get a ps2, which I regret doing now, but I still love my ps2 regardless.
